Mr. Bunce brings twenty-five years of management experience in all facets of resort, conference, hotel, and condo/rental management and has been recognized for performance excellence in nearly every discipline of the hospitality industry. His operations, sales, marketing and revenue management experience includes leading multi-unit resorts and hotels where he successfully exceeded profitability, quality, and revenue goals and has led a track record of success in city center, conference, mountain and beach locations. In addition, he has managed multi-unit food and beverage operations, opening hotels, and hotel conversions.
Prior to creating EpicenterSpark Hospitality, Scott served as Vice President, Western Territory for ResortQuest International where he was responsible for over 3000 Condos and Luxury Vacation Homes, 65 HOA’s, 4 real estate offices, in 11 of the top North American ski resort locations, improving EBITDA by 200%.
While at Intrawest Destination Resorts as Vice President Sales & Revenue Management, he worked on numerous programs that attributed to increasing productivity by 27% per sales associate, improving sales efforts via structured training courses, developing and executing a branded sales approach and revamping the national sales force. These efforts contributed to stellar revenue growth that continuously, out-performed the industry benchmarks.
Scott has extensive international experience. At Hilton International, as Vice President Sales & Marketing of the The America’s, his responsibilities were focused on revenue maximization of hotels throughout Canada, South America, and the Caribbean. The organization totaled well over $65 million in EBITDA, with over 250 people employed under Mr. Bunce.
As Vice President of Revenue Management for Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts/Rezidor, Scott created and was responsible for the revenue maximization of over 100 hotels throughout Europe, and the Middle East, totaling over $600 million. His experience in international markets included developing new and existing distribution channels via Global Distribution Systems, electronic & on-line booking vehicles and improving web site and new E-commerce opportunities, development and implementation of company pricing and business mix strategies throughout Europe. As Regional Vice President/Director of Operations for Southern Europe, Scott was responsible for 21 managed and franchised hotels.
In addition, Scott has managed various consulting projects for companies such as Destination Hotels & Resorts, White Lodging and Valencia Hotels, just to name a few.
Mr. Bunce is a member of AHLA, CHLA, Urban Land Institute. As a industry speaking professional and using his Drama Scholarship Scott has guest lectured at several schools, written and delivered Sales and Revenue Management curriculum, including The Hotel School of Glion Switzerland, and was a regular speaker throughout Europe at IQPC conferences, and a frequent guest speaker, panelist and moderator at several Mountain Travel Symposiums. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University in Michigan.
